This will cover the different types of buries services that exist, current legislation and the best practice concerning detecting buried services, the safety implications of not using a locator and associated ancillary equipment, reference to use of local utility plans, observation of evidence in the street etc. 👉 Course Contents Identification of Underground Services and Common Marking Legislation, regulations and best practice with respect to detecting and training underground services Reasons for using locators Hazards arising from the use of CAT and Genny and precautions which should be observed Identification of types and limitation of CAT and Genny Implications of damage, handling and transporting of equipment Inspecting, calibrating and testing of equipment The methods of safe use of pipe and cable location equipment, along with basic locating techniques Practical session where each candidate will be instructed and assessed on their ability and competence in using the CAT and Genny in the local area If no dates are available please call the team on 01782 438813 for available dates.
